Love comes in so many different disguises. Sometimes it's the small gestures that can make the world a better place for all ... serving a small bowl of LOVE food at Solomou Square 19h00-20h30 hr (Central Bus station)  Nicosia-Cyprus 15|9|2012

Cupid’s Spoon    -   Το Κουτάλι του Έρως :  Cupid’s arrow will be replaced by a spoon, and the love potion will be a traditional Cypriot wedding dish called Resi/resin: gluten as glue…. where we ‘glue’ people together.

As the love potion is prepared, Katerina ( a pprofessional matchmaker and dating coach in Cyprus),  will be mingling and singling out unattached people from the crowd and giving them a TWO-CLICKS stickers  to wear over their hearts. The sticker is an invitation to join us and share a free bowl of resi, sitting opposite another single person.  Single people need an excuse to break the ice and let their defences down – and what better way of getting to know one another than locking eyes over a bowl of soul food?

Resi is a traditional dish served at traditional Cypriot wedding feasts. Two or three days before the wedding, the couple’s friends gather at the house of the bride. They wash and grind coarse wheat grain using hand mills while leaving time for music and dancing. The day before the wedding, they cook and serve the resi to the guests. Resi is actually a thick velvety mixture of coarse wheat and lamb meat. The lamb meat is cooked over a low heat for a long time before the wheat is added. When the mixture is ready, the lamb bones are removed and it is mixed well to become very smooth.
